This has been used by many to gain trust and for a person to push himself or herself to see what he or she is capable of. It is a great stress relief and for many is simply a fun way of entertaining themselves.

This is a facility on its own to use horses, dogs, cats, and any farm animal as a means of therapy in many ways to a variety of people. It has proven to be very successful and is becoming more of a popular style of therapy.

In agreement with the day care, a stipulation will be added to leave at least 5 openings for foster parents. Many children are turned down by foster parents, for example, many cannot afford to lose time at work or because of their busy schedules. So by offering a place for the children to go on short notice, we hope this will help to make their choices easier.

The daycare will have placements for up to 6 infants from newborn on up.

Rock Wall

Up to 6 infants

A full kitchen will be set up to offer a full breakfast and lunch and snacks for the children.

Separate restrooms will be included to meet the needs of the children and staff.

This is also another way to relieve stress and have fun while doing it. It can be a way to build trust as well.

Therapy Center:

The availability of space would allow for the option to rent for business meetings, any occasion, and parties.

Many foster parents, for example, have a hard time making training classes because of no place to put the children, so they either take classes individually or hope they can make arrangements for the children so they can acquire the necessary training hours for their license. In this facility there is always a place for the children, possibly offer dinner, and make it easier to maintain training. Also this would be a great location to offer a variety of other types of training such as financial, bookkeeping, interviews, and so much more.

Child Parent Relationship Training Sponsored By: The McDonald County Coalition & the Alliance of SWMO is an example of a parent training class that could be held at the therapy center. The children have a safe place to go and be nearby, dinner could be made in the therapy center kitchen, and adequate space is available.

The option of group therapy could be a benefit to our youth, recovering drug addicts, parenting, new mothers, and therapy for anyone who needs it. Room accessibility and adequate size will be available to meet the needs of those involved.

With so many options available at the facility, individual therapy can be done in a variety of ways; such as walking, exercise, rock wall, or racquetball. A therapy room with other options like the kitchen, or games, or even the imagination is just as productive.

The variety of locations, room settings, and options allow families to enjoy their time together. Therapy does not have to be limited to just the rooms, because the entire complex has such a variety of options, such as the rock wall to build trust, picnic areas for an experience, and whatever anyone can imagine to benefit a family in therapy.

The Cottage Therapy Center will be available to any therapist who feels the need to have a neutral location for therapy. There are several rooms including a kitchen to allow for a variety of styles and settings for therapy with families and individuals. The rooms are also a great location for Social Services to use for supervised visitations.

This could be done under black light and be supervised, and would be a lot of fun for any ages. They would “suit up” in a specially designed suit and then it is up the each individual to determine how much fun to have.

Padded walls would be placed for safety, a mirror wall for them to watch themselves dance or be silly and attachable glow wear that would fit any size of person from child to adult. This would be a fun room for the children to play and be as silly as they want while being safe. The colors would enlighten their spirits and keep them coming back for more.
